James NEWBERY was a Sawyer. Sarah STONE (c.1779-1855) was born about 1779 in Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England.
James and Sarah were married on 3 April 1804 in Newport, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England.
I suspect James died sometime between 1825 and 1837.
In the 1841 census, Sarah aged 61 was living in Carisbrooke and working as a charwoman. She was living with her daughters, Mary Newbery 27 and Sarah Newbery 16.
In the 1851 census, Sarah aged 72 and described as Mother-in-Law, was living at 11 Cross Lane, Whippingham, Isle of Wight, with son-in-law Thomas Reynolds 25, daughter Sarah Reynolds 25, and grandson Alfred Reynolds 4.
Sarah died aged 77 of Apoplexy lasting 3 hours and Paralysis on 2 June 1855 in Pyle St. Newport, Isle of Wight. She was described as the widow of James Newbery, a Sawyer. The informant was Harriett Reynolds, present at the death, Pyle St. Newport.
James NEWBERY and Sarah STONE had the following children:
1. James Newbery (1806-1810)
James was born about 1806 in Carisbrooke and died aged 4 in 1810.
2. William Newbery (1809-1811).
William was born on 12 January 1809 in Carisbrooke and baptised on 12 February 1809. He died aged 2 in 1811.
2. George Newbery (1811-1875).
George was born on 13 May 1811 in Carisbrooke and baptised on 18 September 1811. He married Charlotte Crew on 8 November 1831 in Carisbrooke. He was a shoemaker. He was buried on 14 January 1875 in Newport, Isle of Wight.
3. John Newbery (c.1813-1859).
John was born about 1813 in Carisbrooke and baptised on 2 January 1814 at St. Mary's, Carisbrooke. He married Jane Allen on 30 May 1833 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight. He was a Journeyman Tailor. He died on 17 June 1859 in Newport, Isle of Wight.
4. Mary Newbery (c. 1814- ).
Mary was born about 1814 in Carisbrooke. In the 1841 Census, aged 27, she was a Charwoman in Carisbrooke.

6. Jane Newbery (1820-1824).
Jane was born on 8 April 1820 in Carisbrooke and was baptised on 20 January 1822 in St. Mary's Carisbrooke. She died aged 4 in 1824.
7. Sarah Newbery (c. 1825- ).
Sarah was born about 1826 in Carisbrooke. She married Thomas Reynolds on 9 February 1845 at St. Mary's Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight.
